Are cruise ships really safe?
My family is planning to go on a cruise this summer and I’m a bit nervous especially because we are going on a Carnival Cruise and their ships don’t have the best track record. Costa Concordia sank, Carnival Triumph broke down, Star Princess caught fire, Seaborne Spirit got attached, Carnival Legend crashed into another ship, Carnival Splendor also caught fire as did Costa Allegra. I’ve tried to convince my family to choose another type of vacation but they won’t budge. I’m about to just cancel my part of the reservation but my family wants me to go. submitted by /u/Disney_Dude1998
