How many days, if any, do you normally spend at a port before your cruise?

To me, part of the allure of cruising is the variety of options. I also refuse to cruise without spending at least 1 day in port. For one, there’s the risk associated with traveling in the day of. It is very rare that your plane will be delayed so much that you will miss your cruise. If it does happen though, the consequences are too high. Plus, I’d rather spend the night before enjoying myself and the day of relaxing vs being stressed out and running around. My average is 1-2 nights. One time, we did a 4 day cruise
