Advice on ports in the Mediterranean
We’re going on our first Mediterranean cruise next summer, and this will be our first time in Europe as well. Our itinerary is as follows: Barcelona Marseille (Provence) Livorno (Florence and Pisa) Rome Kotor Dubrovnik Rijeka Venice We’re fairly seasoned Caribbean cruisers and are generally pretty comfortable doing our own thing there (as in, not booking ship excursions). My question is… Which of these ports have lots to do right where the ship docks? We know we’ll have to take a train or bus for both the Rome and Livorno stops, but what about the others?
