One of the best parts of cruising can be the people and memories. 40 years ago, it did not matter what cabin you had. The service and food was the same for everyone. You choose the early or late sitting for dinner. You had the same servers whom you created a relationship with. Your dinner partners were strangers whom you got to know. The food quality was far better then today in the main dinning room. On my wife and my first cruise, budget was a huge issue. We had an inside guarantee cabin. We did not care, just happy
