Helicopter landing on Explorer of the Seas.

Probably happens a lot more than I thought to be honest. This is our second stop for a medical emergency on our two week cruise. The first was tendered to shore via lifeboat. We have a front facing cabin which meant we could watch the helicopter up close. They couldn’t land it and ended up having to winch them up via stretcher, followed by a member of the family. The whole thing took nearly an hour. Anyone have any similar experiences? I would have thought they would avoid a helicopter at all costs. submitted by /u/ollie179 [link] [comments]
