First off let me say I’m fine with tipping. The cruise staff works very hard, and I have no issues tipping them. I believe tipping should be mandatory for all customers or built into the price of the cruise. Because people can and do remove the automatic gratuities the price goes up for the people who pay them. My issue is the way the Gratuities are distributed. They are pooled. So if someone is unhappy with the level of service they receive they remove or lower their gratuities.
